    Hi,

I have added your plugin to my website, for the most part, it does the job.

Currently, clicking on “More Results” or submit icon, the page keeps loading forever. How to fix this? And is there anyway to improve search speed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

I can see it’s taking time to generate the below search results page.

Could you please temporarily deactivate the Ivory Search plugin and visit the above URL to check whether it loads fast?

And is there anyway to improve search speed?

To speed up the search, please build the index from the plugin index option and use the Inverted index search engine in the search form as shown in the below screenshots.

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for the response.

The search result page is still taking time to load even after deactivating Ivory search. Seems like wordpress search is slow. How to fix this?

Does ivory search provide a standalone search results page?

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporarily deactivating all plugins and see whether everything works fine, and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

Also, This can be a theme issue used on your site so to confirm it just temporarily use the Twenty Twenty One theme on your site. If everything works fine then it’s your site theme issue.

Does ivory search provide a standalone search results page?

No, The search results page is displayed by the search.php file of the theme that you are using on your site so the plugin doesn’t control how the pages and their text will be displayed on the search results page but your site theme controls it.

I have tested by deactivating plugins, and changing themes.
Are we sure that it’s not due to ivory search? I can share access to the staging site if you want to test it out.

Or can you make a different way to show the search results, all with the help of ivory search? I’m ready to pay, as long as the solution works.

It’s taking time even after deactivating the Ivory Search plugin so it means that this has nothing to do with the Ivory Search plugin.

You can consider hiring us to develop it for you using this form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/
