Clicking on image downloads it, instead of editing

  • Normally, when I’m editing a post or a page, I can click on an image, then select the “edit” icon.

    Now, when I try the same operation, the image is downloaded as “editimage.html”

    This happens in Chrome and Firefox

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Deactivating all plugins didn’t work, nor changing themes. How do you reset the plugins folder?
