Clicking item in new version cause new tab to open

  • The behavior has changed.
    We would never want to open a new window for almost any purpose – it is just poor web design.

    In the prior version we created a dynamic gallery based on products in our shop. When you clicked on one it would take you to the single product page for that item.

    However, it the new version it opens a new tab for this. I cannot find any setting that enable or disables this functionality.

    Please advise how to make this go away. You will not be able to test because we are reverting our production system for now. We did not expect this update to require staging but can do that if needed.

    – go to Portfolio Layouts and choose your interested item where Content Source is
    Portfolio.
    – find feature “Items click action” with URL selected there and below you’ll see option “target” – change it value to “top frame”

    That’s it.

    Hi.

    This was fixed in 1.8.1 plugin update. Have you checked it?
