Clicking "Install WordPress" at STep 2 does nothing

    This all started because I got the text version of the admin panel so decided to do a clean install (after trying everything else).

    Now I get to the “Welcome” page, enter my details (site title, user name, password twice), click “Install WordPress” and it just goes back to the same page i.e. https://www.mywebsite/wp-admin/install.php?step=2 but with all my information removed.

    I have re-installed, cleared the browser cache, restarted, tried it in both Firefox and Safari, checked permissions and basically anything else I could find by trawling the internet. I am not a total newbie to this and have had successful installs before.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    hey if you happen to be hosted by crazy domains in Australia then they are having issues with new wordpress installs.
