Clicking gallery thumbs to “zoom in” stuck on spinner II

    Hi Jacob,

    First of all – great job with the plugin! It works like a dream … but not in the new version (probably a missing marker in the settings section).

    Now the I have encountered the same problem as Mat did 3 months ago. It did work with the old version 8.6.01.004, but when I upgrade it to the new one (8.6.02.003), I get the same problem with the spinner.

    When I click on an image in the gallery thumbs, to see it full size, I only get the spinner icon – it seems stuck there. I’ve been in settings and ticked Photo Albums -> Settings -> Lightbox -> I -> Items 9 and 10, but it still doesn’t seem to work.

    I’ve also tried disabling the other plugins that are running, but that hasn’t helped. I’m still at the old version.

    Make sure all caches are cleared and you do not hgave any ‘optimizing’ plugin active that modifies javascript loading sequence or does js compression.

    If that does not help, re-update to the latest version so i can see what happens

    Hi Jacob,

    All cache has been cleared – tried with both Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers – same result. I have re-updated it to the latest version as requested.

    Not fixed yet, but you can install the working version back for the moment.

    What is your theme? and pls supply me a complete list of active plugins

    Old version installed again – the theme is Core | Photography by ThemeGoods (Themeforest / Envato). No tweaks other than some minor graphic changes/colours.

    The active plugins on the site is: Really Simple SSL, Simpel CSS, TablePress and off course WP Photo Album Plus.

    Please let me know if you want some addtional informations or testing.

    Do as described here: https://wppa.nl/docs-by-subject/development-version/
    and try again.

    If it does not work, set
    Advanced settings -> System -> I -> Item 5: Ajax method to
    Frontend: none, Backend: Backend method

    The problem is solved in the development-version!

    There was no need to change the settings in advanced settings.
