I installed WPForms and it worked fine, but it wasn’t sending any mail.

I followed the recommended next step which was to put WPMail SMTP on which I installed, configured through the wizard, integrated into WPForms, and tested successfully within the plugin.

Now when I attempt to test the form from the website the button and fields grey out and I can’t do anything.

I subsequently did a test on the WPMail SMTP again which sends the test message fine so the Forms plugin doesn’t appear to be talking to the Mail plugin.

A little too fast on the paste I see. Here’s the correct link.

I now get a different result than I did a couple days ago. I expect you’ll see a message like this: “The form was unable to submit. Please contact the site administrator.”

    Hey @swade2569,

Thank you for sharing the link! It looks like the page is reporting the following error in the browser’s developer consolve which might be affecting the form submission:
Uncaught ReferenceError: grecaptcha is not defined

Could you please check if you have the recommended settings as discussed in the following articles: Resolving ‘The form was unable to submit’ Issue in WPForms and Troubleshooting JavaScript Errors.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for your reply Kenneth.

I tried the ‘The form was unable to submit’ solution first and added the code to my Php file but that did not fix the issue.

In regards to the javascript documentation you provided; I have no caching so it doesn’t seem like that applies.

I found another solution which uses verification to cut back on spam which worked immediately so I don’t need WP Forms anymore.

Thanks for your attempts at solving the issue.

    Hi @swade2569,

    Thanks for letting us know!

I’m sorry to hear that the suggested solutions did not work for you, and you replaced WPForms for another solution. We sincerely hope that you can find your way back to WPForms someday.

It looks like you’ve marked this post as resolved. If you’d have any questions about WPForms Lite, please feel free to reach out.

    Thanks!
