    Hello,
    I have a popup with the “Click Overlay to Close” option checked, however nothing happens when clicking on the overlay. I’m using the Enterprise Blue theme but it’s doesn’t work with any themes. Any ideas?

    Has anyone else had issues with this?

    Double check that you don’t have your overlay disabled. This is found in the Popup Editor under Display Options, Overlay section. That should be unchecked.

    If that checks out okay, then give us a link to your implementation and what needs to be done to trigger the popup, and we’ll investigate the issue.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Thanks Dani,
    I checked and it is unchecked, yet still I can’t close the popup on click.

    It closes when clicking the close button, esc and f4. Just not when clicking on overlay.

    This site is built for a full-screen 1080p display so display might be weird but here’s a page with popup.

    The reason you can’t click the overlay is because the popup is covering it. Keep in mind your popup extends 1920px by 1080px. Your popup is also displayed in a layer above your overlay, so if the popup covers the whole screen, then you won’t be able to “click” on the overlay because it is covered.

    I would recommend making the popup itself the same size as the image, that way the overlay won’t be covered, and when you click it, the popup will close.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks that helped! I can close on click on the overlay (outside the image) to close the popup. How can I set it so the image itself can be clicked to close the popup. I adjusted the z-index settings for over and popup but didn’t help. Is there a way to have the image clickable to close it?

    @vizgraphics

    Glad we could get that fixed up for you!

    To solve your next problem, use the Popup Maker Shortcode Button to create a Close Button Shortcode, and put your image inside the content of the close button shortcode.

    That should fix it up for you!

    If you haven’t already, please do take a moment to click that Popup Maker Works and to rate and review the plugin to spread the love! <3

    Great thanks! I appreciate the help. I also need to load the popup after 60 seconds of idle time. Is that possible with custom code?

    @vizgraphics

    Yes, that is possible with custom code. We will also be releasing an extension in the future that will accomplish what you’re after!

    I’m also going to mark this thread as resolved as the original issue is solved – if you have any more questions, please feel free to create another thread.
