Hi – I am trying out The Events Calendar as a solution for my client. The events list shows up, https://parkcofair.com/events/, but when you click on an individual event, you get an error “There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.”

I have updated themes, and plugins and have deactivated/deleted plugins that are no longer in use. I have tried searching this forum and Google for a solution but haven’t found anyone experiencing this issue and error.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @stacimarie13

Thanks for reaching out. Let me help you with this one.

By any chance, do you have an existing template override added to your theme?

Moreover, could you try creating a staging version of your live site and enable debugging and try replicating the issue again? It should show a more detailed error message pointing to the cause of the issue.

Could you also provide the version of the following? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you so much for the guidance and resources. I was able to pinpoint that it was a plugin compatibility issue with Yoast SEO, which didn’t complete it’s update when I was updating and trying to solve the issue yesterday. It is working. I’m excited to share this Events Calendar feature with my team – it will be a great asset for our site. Thanks!
