    Hi there,

I really like Simple Lightbox plugin and have been happy with it so far. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to follow how many times an image link has been clicked and and how many times and image has been viewed? When I check the stats page on wordpress/jetpack I don’t see any information about lightbox clicks. I’m pretty new to wordpress so I can imagine this might not be relevant to the plugin itself. Any suggestions?

By the way, I use simple lightbox to link into image attachment pages. I do occasionally see file.jpg links in clicks stats. I take these ones as when an image attachment link has failed to open and the visitor has directly landed in the .jpg page, I don’t know if that’s the case though. But it ocassionally happens to me too as well, and I don’t know if its Simple Lightbox related.

    Thanks in advance ??

Hi, I’m not too familiar with how detailed Jetpack’s stats are, but something like Google Analytics should be able to track link clicks. Specifically tracking when the lightbox is displayed would likely require an add-on of some kind though.

Valid attachment links should always open in the lightbox. Even if the attachment link is invalid, the direct image would not be loaded in its place. However, if you come across any such links, please post a link and I would be glad to take a look.

    Thanks.
