Click comment link when no comment. Trackback?

  • Hi,

    I notice that when one click on a comment that have no comment. It will go to a page where you will still see a post then you need to scroll down to comment form.

    Is there a way that i could make no comment link click and straightaway point to comment page comment form instead of displaying long posts and need to scroll down.

    Is it to do above. Need to use the drop down comment plugin? No other way?

    When there is a comment you will be point to comment area. This is good which i want to remain.

    When i click on trackback in comment page area. It will bound up to title where u scroll down see content then comment…

    Is this the correct way? anything wrong?

    What the right function of this trackback?

    Would appreciate if someone answer.

    Regarding trackback, that link you click on is a trackback address. In brief, a trackback allows you to send an except of your post to another blog’s comment area when you publish a post. To do this, you would “copy” the trackback link on thier site. In your blog’s edit window, you’d then “paste” that trackback link into the “send trackbacks to:” box, then “publish”, or if the post is already published, you’d “save” it. If their blog allows the trackback, the excerpt of your post shows up in their comment or trackback area.

    Think of it as a fancy, or efficient, way to comment.

    That may be true but there is a correct courteous way to do it. Any post you send a trackback to should provide a link to their post somewhere in your entry.

    Example of your post:

    Mutley, you snickering, floppy eared hound. When courage is needed, youa€?re never around. Those medals you wear on your moth-eaten chest should be there for bungling at which you are best. So, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon. Howwww! Nab him, jab him, tab him, grab him, stop that pigeon now.

    The bottom line can be whatever you desire. It can be a quote from the other blog or just like this example.

    Then you would get the trackback URL from that post and place it in the correct location on your edit/write page in admin.

    yeah…The comment link method i requested was solve by myself after using hide tag // to hide content. Saved the scrolling trouble.

    As for trackback. After blog hopping i understand the way they worked.
