• Hi there,

I run a multi-author blog that is also open to user registration (authors, contributors, and subscribers). Comments are open for anyone to post.

By default, the login icons are WordPress.com, Twitter, and Facebook. Is there a way to add an icon for my local WordPress install login so registered users can login from this page as well?

    Thank you!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the suggestion!

At the moment, the comment form will use the user’s details if they’re logged in to their account, but we do not include an option to log in via the form; it’s true that it would be nice. I registered your suggestion here:

Before we add such feature to Jetpack, you could use the following work-around: in your dashboard, go to Settings > Discussion, and restrict comments to registered users only; this way, all readers will see a log in link and will have to log in before to see the comment form.

    Hey there,

I just requested a solution as well. I had to turn off Jetpack comments due to this reason and I really hope you will add this option soon. That the WP link will go to the normal log-in page instead.
