    Hi all,

    The following problem is annoying me a bit and perhaps your pluginn can help?

    I downloaded Netbeans IDE and installed a theme on my localhost to practice. I want to make changes to a particular files to make changes on my website. This part is just text i.e. it is between normal tag and you should find it using Ctrl-F.

    I go to Netbeans and find all the files in which this text is and start changing each one of them. When pressing F5 the text still shows up on my browser so I clear history and still there.

    The funny thing is that when I search again in Netbeans I am not able to find that text, which confirms that changes have been made. Also when I go the Windows explorer and find the files in which I made the changes using Netbeans, the changes ARE there when I check using Notepad++.

    Checking the Internet I understand that this has to do with “cacheing” so I tried installing your pluginn. I also installed WP Super Cache (by Automattic) as you recommend. After this I installed your pluginn but now I am not able to find the button you are mentioning in other support forums

    What am I doing wrong? Please can you help me? Will you pluginn help me solve my problem I mentioned? If not, what will?

    Thanks,

    Nav

    First make sure the Clear Cache plugin is activated. Also make sure WP Super Cache plugin is activated. Then make sure you are logged in as the admin user you created when installing WordPress (or a user that can install plugins). If all those are in place, you should see the blue “Clear Cache” button on the dashboard.

    If all else fails, to at least solve your problem you can deactivate the WP Super Cache and the Clear Cache plugin and clear your browser cache and you should begin to see your changes.

    Hi,

    Let me start by saying that I really appreciate your efforts to help me out here. Please what I have done so far.

    – First make sure the Clear Cache plugin is activated.
    ==> Done

    Also make sure WP Super Cache plugin is activated.

    ==> Done

    -Then make sure you are logged in as the admin user you created when installing WordPress (or a user that can install plugins).
    ==> I am

    – If all those are in place, you should see the blue “Clear Cache” button on the dashboard.
    ==> Still not showing

    Just to add to this that I also tried doing the same with the another Super Cache plugin as they had the same name.

    – If all else fails, to at least solve your problem you can deactivate the WP Super Cache and the Clear Cache plugin and clear your browser cache and you should begin to see your changes.

    ==> This is exactly what my confusion is. Even this is not working.
    I looked on the Internet and changed [WP_Cache, true] to [WP_Cache, false] in wp-config.php.

    In wp-config.php it also says “added by WP-Cache manager”. Does that give a clue?

    thanks,

    Naveen

    Hi,

    By deactivating i meant to go to the plugins page and click on the “deactivate” link under the activated caching plugin.

    Sorry, but this is a bit beyond the scope of this plugin. You may want to try the support forums for the WP Super Cache for better help in clearing your cache. I think there are some static html files that the plugin generates and maybe for some reason your installation is still reading from those files.

    Hi,

    – By deactivating i meant to go to the plugins page and click on the “deactivate” link under the activated caching plugin.

    ==> That is what I did.

    – Sorry, but this is a bit beyond the scope of this plugin……… still reading from those files.

    ==> That is right. it is not fair to ask you for further help on this as, since I posted last, started thinking this might be not to do with your plugin. Thanks for all your help anyway.
