I recently moved all my images to an Amazon S3 bucket but I still want to use Smush (
Free version) to compress my images before they’re moved over to the bucket.
When i bulk smush now, i still get the message that the plugin is going to smush 17,000 images even though there are only about 50 that haven’t been moved yet.
How do i clear the cache or similar so the software doesn’t go looking for all those old images?
Hopefully, you get the gist of what I mean from my awkward explanation. ??
    Thank you,
    Teri

  • @great-taste,

It all depends on how you move the images to S3. If there’s no local copy left, Smush will still treat such images as part of the media library (you do see them in the media library). But without S3 integration Smush won’t be able to fetch the image from S3, compress it and return it back. That’s what the integration basically does. You can move all the images back to the site, compress them with Smush and then offload to S3.

    Best regards,
    Anton
