    Hello,

I don’t think there should be a problem. The plugin processes 10 attachments per request, so I don’t see it failing with any number of images, as long as the host doesn’t error out.

There is no “continue cleanup” feature but on the second requests, plugin should go through clean attachments pretty quickly as it will have nothing to delete.

    Excellent, thanks!

It’s taken me three attempts to get through 32,000(!). It got further each time before freezing and I was a little hesitant about re-starting the process but as you said it went through them faster on each run and eventually got there. Fantastic!

Does this mean the log displayed at the end is incomplete (i.e. only contains details of the final run)? If so, are the previous logs stored anywhere?

Glad you managed to clean up that many images, do you have anywhere in the logs the reason why it failed the first two times?

As for the logs, they are not kept anywhere, they are displayed only for the last cleanup.

Do you think storing logs permanently would be a useful feature? I’m reluctant to add it because then I also have to introduce an option to (not) keep the logs, which I would like to avoid.

No idea why it failed sorry, it just got slower and slower and eventually froze. I gave it an hour with no response each time before restarting the cleanup.

I’d be very happy to see permanent logging of each image removed as anything could interrupt the process, (accidentally closed browser, crash, power cut) and then there’s no way to know if the process worked or completed.

I’d also like to see the plugin shown in ‘Tools’ rather than ‘Settings>Media’. This seems more logical (it’s a tool, not a setting) and might make it easier to find.

    Thank you for your feedback.

I agree it makes more sense under Tools, the reason I initially settled on Settings -> Media is that I did not want to create an additional admin menu item. I’m thinking now of moving it to tools and adding a checkbox there that one could use to permanently log removals for that cleanup.

That sounds great, looking forward to it!

    Hi,

just to let you know that the plugin UI was moved to Tools menu.

Also, a support for resumable removal of image sizes was added, so you should not lose the log in case the process gets stuck in the middle ??

    Awesome, thanks, superb support!
