    I think it’s a good idea to have some way to clean up the .htaccess lines, but I think this should not be done automatically. Maybe a ‘cleanup’-button?

    Next week I’ll release a new version of the plugin. I will put this on the list for that version, but we have to think about the best solution.

    i was just thinking about clients sites i would put this on… they would never click a cleanup button, would not know what it was for…

    and i limit their admin access anyway…

    so that button would never get clicked anyway in my scenario

    but in my scenario that would never work, i would be installing in on clients sites who have limited admin access and would not know what a cleanup button was on a brute force section.. it would never get clicked

    That’s a good point. Thanks.

    I think I’ll create an option where you can set the max. htaccess lines, so that old ones are cleaned up when that limit is reached.
