Cleaning malware from files manually

  • If we are cleaning malware from files manually, do we only look at wp-content folder?

    under the title “Find and Remoe the hack” it says you can replace wp-admin and wp-includes directories safely. So for them do I just take them from a default wordpress but I must just pay attention to wp-content folder?

    Yes. Blow away wp-admin and wp-inludes and replace them with new files downloaded from www.remarpro.com. Review the files in your site’s root, with special attention to wp-config.php and .htacess. Replace the rest with their files in the wordpress download.
