• Hi, I use WP Rocket cache plugin. After I made changes, cleaning cache from wp rocket and assets clean up doesn’t take effect. Whatever I do, still the same. Only deactivation of the plugin fixes issue. I tried to reinstall the plugin and the basic version still makes issues. Before deactivation, I made a reset.
Is there a way to delete plugin from database and reinstall it again?

@izjakic @shion12312 When you’re saying clearing the cache doesn’t take effect, are you referring to the fact that the CSS/JS files you marked for unloading are still loading? Please append a random string to the URL such as /?wpacurandomstr123 (pretty much anything unique) and see if it works then.

If everything is alright, then the page caching in WP Rocket wasn’t cleared completely or you have an extra layer of caching there (it could be something like Cloudflare, Varnish, etc.). Please try to be more specific about the “doesn’t take effect” part.

If you do a full reset (everything), the plugin will load as on the first day you were using. Any traces in the database will be removed.

@shion12312 @izjakic just an update to what I just mentioned, a post in the documentation was published related to reasons of why the changes are not visible after the post/page is updated with new Asset CleanUp rules: https://assetcleanup.com/docs/changes-applied-not-taking-effect/ – I hope it will help ??

Hi, thank you for your quick response. I have taken all steps you suggested, I don’t use CDN or anything else. What I discovered is, if I copy an element from one page to another, a page where this element is placed doesn’t clear cache. All pages have same conditions. All other pages cache is cleared except copied one. Now after I restart browser and looking at incognito mode, it is ok. Another thing I found, this happens on Safari browser what I see now. Going to test another browsers…

    Thanks for your help Gabe

When you’re saying that you copy an element from one page to another, what exactly are you referring to? I mean the “element” you’re talking about.

The caching is cleared site-wide, not just per page. I believe you’re referring to WP Rocket’s page cache, not Asset CleanUp’s one (which is related to the files only).
