These two videos demonstrate the experiments I performed to isolate the issue with this plugin. With a clean installation I get the following error:

    All-in-One Event Calendar:
CSS compilation failed because you don’t have enough free memory (a minimum of 24M is needed). Your calendar will not render or function properly without CSS. Please read this article to learn how to increase your PHP memory limit.

I confirmed this error is native to the plugin and not actually a memory issue as I show 250mb max memory.

I tried to create an event and then add a sidebar widget but failed. I may have not set up the plugin correctly.

I also experienced a change in post type with ‘events’ displayed twice. This is shown in the first video and I repeated the experiment in the second video and proved that if there already exists a post type ‘events’ that upgrading this plugin causes a listing of two post types to be named ‘events’.

  • Hi,

The first issue, have you tried: Dashboard -> Events -> Theme Options and hit Save Options?

    Hi Benjamin,
I have played around more with the plugin and created some events, edited and saved the settings. This video shows my results. So my first confustion about the sidebar widget and calendar page are resolved.

I have added two more calendar/events plugins to see if they interfere with this plugin.

    • Ajax Event Calendar
    • The Events Calendar

My working site where I really need to have a working events plugin is at

This issue came up with a recent update and has not repaired itself. So I have been trying to track down the source of the problem. Since the error message is incorrect, it doesn’t help.

Latest update shows promise. I cannot duplicate the error. Thank you for resolving this issue.
