If you’ve had any experience with GoDaddy’s managed WordPress UI, you’ll know that the default file manager they use has a narrow, un-resizeable, slow iFrame-like manager. It’s a pain. Yeah, sure, I could always for the backend, but not a lot of people have access to that and, to be honest, I only like going in there when I have to. Sometimes people are a bit clumsy…Shhh! Don’t tell my clients.

So, I started using Filester for when I need to edit/upload/etc. files not easily accessed from the admin UI, then I deactivate it. I like that this little guy is lightweight, clean, and I can get in and out quickly. Great file manager, just don’t leave it active for longer than you need. Plug those holes, folks.
