    Hello RankMath team,

I migrated from AIOSEO to RankMath and I’m doing some cross check, I realized few things in relevance to the theme being a Classified Ads theme, for instance, the Homepage displays ads posted by Users and therefore its set as a Static page.

RankMath recognises this fact through this message: Static page is set as the front page (WP Dashboard > Settings > Reading). To add SEO title, description, and meta for the homepage, please click here: Edit Page: Ads home

I did edit the Snipet to customize the SEO for that given page and saved the changes, few days later I noticed it reverted back to the initial Snipet state (Ads home)

Not sure if its a theme conflict issue or just RankMath not able to handle Classified ads themes?

Furthermore, Focus Keywords suggestions seem to be limited to existing ranked keywords online that are not relevant to my site’s content, it allows me to input one Focus keyword as long as it’s relevant to the title content but any mix of those words wont work even though they are part of the title and description of a tag/category

    Example
    Tag name: Model bust 34C
    Slug: model-bust-34C
    Description: Model bust 34C

    Focus Keywords:
    34C Model = ok
Busty model fails to save it, the combination disappears

Is there a limit to these Focus keywords??

In followup to this part of the previous post:

I am unable to manually input text and save the changes for the Homepage, there is No Save button and even if I click Update page, it will not reflect on the changes, I also tried the preset input from the drop-down menu such as %sitename% %sitedesc% and then Update Page to no avail, what’s going on?

    Hello @fanaticweb,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

For the theme’s compatibility, please contact the theme developer to confirm if everything is working fine on their end. It seems like some JS error happening on those pages.

There are several theme providers that have added compatibility for the Rank Math plugin. You can check the list here:
    https://rankmath.com/compatibility/

In regards to the focus keywords, we check only for the exact match and not the variations at this time.

You can follow the following guide to reach 100:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

But please stay advised that these tests are just guidelines and one does not need to follow them religiously.

At the end of the day, the content needs to be written for the readers and not for the search engines.

Scoring higher points in Rank Math’s tests won’t guarantee higher rankings.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you for the feedback,

AIOSEO had no issues differentiating between native WP Blog posts pages and Custom taxonomy pages, meanwhile, RankMath states:
“Static page is set as the front page (WP Dashboard > Settings > Reading).
To add SEO title, description, and meta for the homepage, please click here: Edit Page: Homepage Listings”.

I verified through the developer code in Chrome, no JS conflicts/issues found, the issue is taking place within the WP admin panel, I’m able to Edit the Snipet and update the page, I do the changed settings displayed after I click Update, but when I check the Homepage, the SEO changes didn’t take effect, when I go back to double check the Snipet in the admin settings and Refresh the page, it reverts back to the default state “Homepage Listings”

Same scenario occurs for the actual native Blog posts, the only difference is that the changes brought in the Admin section are saved yet the front-end doesn’t reflect on the changes, again, no JS errros.

I thought RankMath would work out of the box? Are you suggesting that RankMath has limited compatibilities with other themes?

    https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

Rank Math lets you choose up to 5 focus keywords per post

This is not the case despite picking words relevant to the content of the post/title/description/slug, RankMath suggests nonrelevant keywords and omits from allowing me to place in my own focus keywords, example:

    Tag name: 34D bust model
    Description: 34D busty model
    slug: 34d-bust-model

    Focus keywords:
    34D bust = ok
    34D model = fails
    34D busty model = fails

    RankMath suggestions:
    343 area code
    34 inch TV
34D bra size = Even if I select that suggestion, RankMath wipes it out….

Please explain as I’m baffled here.

    Hello @fanaticweb

For the theme issue, if it’s a premium theme, email us the theme files so we can test. You can find the contact form on our website.

As far as Focus keywords are concerned, we compare the entire keyword with the title & content.

So, if the focus keyword is 34D model, then the title, content, & the description should also have the same word. Only then the tests will pass.

With that being said, there are existing feature requests, so we’ve added your vote to our internal suggestions lists. If your suggestions are something that we’re able to introduce, we’ll be sure to let you know.

    Thank you.
