Is there any way to make the advertisement for Classic Widgets with Block-based Widgets not continuously show up at the top of my plugin page? I like The Extended Search plugin OK. But not being able to get rid of that advertisement for more than a brief time is getting annoying.

    Hi guys,

I am sorry about that. It was never meant to annoy the users or advertisement. The purpose of this notice was just to provide a solution for WPES widgets. And notice is designed with permanent dismiss button.

The X button is not working for you? The notice should be gone once you click close button (X).

I think the problem could be external cache or cache plugin, I was having doubt about it that it won’t work with cache plugin. Is it true that website uses external object caching and notice comes back after clearing the cache?

Please confirm and I will add a fix ASAP.

    Thanks

Pressing the x makes it go away temporarily. But it is soon back. I do use WP Rocket. I have cleared the cache and clicked the x again. I’ll let you know when it comes back.

I have not noticed it coming back since I cleared the WP Rocket cache. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

    Hi,

Sorry but I meant the notice may come back after clearing the cache. This is how you can confirm.

    – Close the notice
    – Refresh the page, the notice should be gone.
    – Clear the cache (the object or all cache) now and refresh the page again, does it come back?

    Thanks

I cleared the cache, then removed the notice and cleared the cache again. And the notice stayed away for a day. But it is back now.

    Thanks for the info.

    Released a new version 2.1.1

    – Update the plugin.
    – you will see the notice again.
    – Click X (close button) and it will be gone forever.

    Thank you!

OK. I have done that. I’ll give it another day and see what happens.
