  • Sorry to hear you feel the free version of Hummingbird is too limited. What exactly would you like to see unlocked or added to make this a 5-star plugin? We really want this to be helpful. At this point the limits are uptime monitoring which requires access to the WPMU DEV API and reports. Please let us know and we hope Hummingbird can help you in the future. If it did not function as it should, please open a support ticket so we can help.

I don’t get this review. UPTIME MONITORING and REPORTING are the only pro features. Great plugin.

I think @csigncsign just wanted to complain and use the word “freemium”.

I agree that this is a stars-worthy plugin.

w/regard to @csisgncsign’s comment, I somewhat agree, insofar as the WPMU business model as pertains to the purchase of a premium plugin. Most premium plugins have a set price, with perhaps an annual renewal.
But WPMU chooses to offer tons of plugins and themes to premium subscribers– at a significantly pricey monthly fee, even if one only desires the acquisition of one or two of their plugins with all features unlocked.

At least this was my experience in the past.

But too the point, Hummingbird is indeed a worthy install.

Thanks for the feedback @cajebo! A couple of important notes. We are working on a single plugin subscription option. It is a big shift in our pricing structure so it will take us some time to get it worked out…but we hear you. This will still require a subscription because we have shifted to mostly services over the past few years. Services mean our plugins no longer require only the cost of development. We have recurring server and hosting costs in order to maintain speed and power. If you have more questions about the pro service please contact a member of our support team and we can try and work something out for you.
