The classic editor toolbar is only showing on my custom post types, I cannot access it in either the post or page editor; I can only use the html editor on these.

I’ve tried the standard troubleshooting suggested but haven’t gotten anywhere. Any ideas what might be causing this issue?

    Thanks

  • Hi there,

What do you say by HTML editor? Is it the Block Editor (Gutenberg)?

Is it the “text” mode on Classic Editor? The classic editor (TinyMCE) has “Visual” and “Text” modes. You can find it on your editor top right. You just have to change it to “Visual” and it may work as you’re expecting.

If you are not sure, so please share a print screen using an app like https://imgur.com/upload.

    Hi Felipe,

Yes I was talking about only being able to access the “Text” mode of the classic editor – I could not click on the Visual mode tab at all. I have since found out that it was due to a plugin conflict with WP bakery so I deactivated that and now it’s working ok.

    Thanks
