classic editor + oembed

    Facebook/Instagram recently changed their requirements for oembed, which has led me to Jetpack as a possible solution. Does the oembed feature for Jetpack for Facebook/IG only work for block editors though? It doesn’t seem to work in the classic editor. Thanks.

    For classic editor, you may use shortcode to embed. Here is the instruction. Some more shortcode can be found here.

    Thanks. We tried that on version 9.2 and it didn’t populate posts for either Facebook or Instagram. Does it need to be a newer version of the plugin?

    Hi there

    Yes, I tested on Jetpack 9.2 and the shortcode embed does not work, but it does work on the latest Jetpack version (10.2)
