Classic Editor Not Showing Hyperlinks

I have the Classic Editor plugin on a number of our WordPress sites to post blogs. When posting with the ‘visual’ side it doesn’t show where any of the existing hyperlinks are. On my other sites, it shows a hyperlink and different color for existing links but I’m not sure how I can get this to display on our current website? It just shows all links in black as ordinary text.
On the front end of the site, it does display the hyperlink in a different color. I can also edit the ‘text’ side and add a hyperlink color to see it but I don’t want to have to do this every time.
If I could get this to underline or display in a different color that would be extremely helpful!
