Classic editor no longer visible

  • Hi,
    Since the last update the Classic editor is no longer visible exept when adding a portfolio entry and for the short description in woocommerce products. If I inactivate the Classic editor plugin I can use the Gutenberg blocks editor or the Salient WPBakery Page Builder which is fine for pages and posts but there is now no way to edit any text in the bbpress forum from the back end. Activating the Classic editor breaks Gutenberg block editor leaving only Salient WPBakery Page Builder. Deactivating Salient WPBakery Page Builder leaves only Gutenberg Block editor.
    No combination of activating/deactivating these plugs renders a functioning Classic editor other than for the short descrption of produts i woocommerce and when adding a portfolio entry.
    What to do?

  • When you activate Classic editor it disables Gutenberg by default. You can either use one from both. Go to setting > Writing and there is option to change editor

    there is no option in settings > writing anymore.

    i had to disable classic editor to troubleshoot a site. now it’s stuck in gutenberg mode, even with the classic editor plugin active.
