Classic Editor doesn’t update page and post

    Using the Brandstore Gutenberg theme. Whenever I use the classic editor to edit a page, post or product, clicking the ‘update’ button points to a ‘This page doesn’t exist’ page and nothing gets updated. I have no problem updating using Gutenberg editor. Product pages don’t use Gutenberg and can’t be updated.

    OK, I realize this is a server problem, not just Astra Starter Sites. It affects all my wp installations.

    Hi @brainstormteam , my ISP support told me the problem happened because the server blocked a security threat coming from an ‘unauthenticated 3rd party plugin or application’ in my WordPress site. They didn’t identify which one. I don’t have many active plugins besides WooCommerce, Astra Theme, Astra Starter Sites and Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg, so I can’t tell if it is Astra that caused the issue. My ISP did a tweak to restore the functionality but it meant having to compromise some security on my server space. If you would like to investigate further, I can send you the error logs. Thanks.

    Hi @brokenchord ,

    No worries! They must have whitelisted our starter site API server which is at https://websitedemos.net/ from their firewall restriction rule in order to restore this feature.

    Unfortunately they would not do the whitelisting on the server as I am on shared hosting. They would only do so for my specific wp site, which means that every time I install a new wp site, the problem will surface again and I will have to submit a ticket to my ISP to do the whitelisting. Not exactly a long term solution. Perhaps its time I migrate to another ISP that is friendly to your starter site API.

    Thanks for responding anyway, @brainstormteam. My ISP seems to have solved the issue. Astra is a nice theme and I will be exploring it further.
