Classic Editor Display Issue

  • Hi,

    Have an issue with Classic editor displaying correctly when creating a new post, but after saving as a draft or editing old posts it doesn’t show correctly. It becomes very narrow during the “text” option.

    This happens when viewing previously published posts and after saving a new post as a draft. The “visual/text” buttons are all the way to the left side and text box is very narrow.

  • Hi @goldnote. Thank you for reporting this problem. It looks from the screenshot that you have Elementor active on your site. The issue you described could be coming from a plugin conflict.

    Could you please try to deactivate all plugins except “Classic Editor” and see if the issue persist?

    Recently upgraded to 6.1.1.
    I have exactly the same problem. The narrow text editor is a nuisance. And I have disabled all (even considered just slightly) relevant plugins.
    To no avail.

    So far, I have not yet been able to replicate this issue running WordPress 6.1.1 with Classic Editor 1.6.2, with no other plugins active.

    Reminder: when testing on your end, please be sure to deactivate all plugins other than Classic Editor, to rule out a plugin conflict. You can use the Health Check plugin‘s troubleshooting mode for this, which will not change your live site. If the problem goes away, reactivate your plugins one by one (while still in troubleshooting mode) to find the culprit.
