    Hi,

Recently my Classic Editor stopped working & I’ve just traced the issue back to a conflict with the ThirstyAffiliates plugin.

On the editor page I get the error “Failed to initialize plugin: thirstyaffiliates TypeError: ThirstyLinkPicker is undefined” in the console.

In Firefox, I can no longer use the Classic Editor unless ThirstyAffiliates is disabled. It happens on all of my sites that use ThirstyAffiliates.

Please can you help me fix this?

  • Ah interesting i don’t use Classic Editor but get this Error as well as soon i Use anothet Plug In which called WP Coupons and Deals. Maybe this Plug In is using the Calssic Editor for edeting textst. So i guess this is basic error in ThirstyAffiliate, please advice @caseproof ??

Yeah, I believe ThirstyAffiliates is causing issues with TinyMCE which is then causing problems with the editors (I think).

@darlay123 do you have exactly this Error showing up:

Disabling AdBlock chrome extension works for most. I tested and was able to replicate only when AdBlock was installed. Though I didn’t have quite the exact same errors though: https://tinyurl.com/y8vmpomk

I imaging other ad blockers or DNS filtering services, or VPN’s might cause similar results, and certainly might cause the error you’re seeing if the /wp-content/plugins/thirstyaffiliates/js/app/ta-editor.js file cannot be loaded.

@cartpauj i don’t use an adblocker in my Firefox… But still get this Type Error…

Besides that i get tghis Type Error everywere were an TextEditor Field is, not only in WP oupons & Deals also in WP Avert etc… All Plug Ins which are Using the Classic Editor i guess…

Do you see any errors in the console about the ta-editor.js file being blocked or not loaded?

@cartpauj no, only the Error which is shown in my Screeshot.

@leogc yep, I’m getting the exact same error – Firefox also, and I don’t use any Adblockers.

Edit: removing this post as it didn’t work after-all.

Ignore the above, the error came back for me after a few refreshes. I’ve escalated this to our developer, but he won’t be back until after new year’s. We should have a fix sometime early January.

    Thanks for the report.

Ok, then we wait for an Update ?? Thank you very much and Happy New Year!
