Clash with Siteground Optimizer/JS combination and Forminator+Complianz

  • At some point there has been a change in either Forminator or Complianz that means forms break when JS combination is enabled on Siteground Optimizer and cookies aren’t accepted.

    This means that if you haven’t accepted cookies, and attempt to click on the banner to clear it, instead of clearing the banner, you just get warnings of unsubmitted form items. It’s as if the Complianz JS script for handling the banner click isn’t firing, and instead it’s trying to submit the form.

    There appears to be no script available to site optimizer to exclude from combination to avoid this.

    Obviously this is an awkward combination issue between three plugins, but it means we’re going to have to change all our client sites to turn off JS combination ??

    Thank you for reaching out.

    The fix for the issue with Forminator is currently in its final stages as we are speaking. It should be coming in the next versions. For the moment, I suggest to disable the Forminator integration in Complianz by going to Integrations > Plugins.

    FYI, I’ve also found issues with Forminator forms set to load by AJAX (to help them get around caching issues). With complianz enabled, the forms don’t load at all with no errors. (In both the editor AND the page). Disable complianz and they work fine. Turning off the forminator plugin DOES NOT HELP, you have to disavle the whole complianz plugin
