    Thanks for your plugin!

    By default my pages and posts have comments disabled.

    But I was still getting comments for some pages and understood these might be on the media.

    So I have installed this plugin and activated it just for media. I assume that it works in conjunction with the actual site settings? And it will not affect my BBPress forum functionality.

    Yes, it should not affect, as long as you kept only on media attachment. If you face issue feel free to comment here or open a new thread, we are here to help.
