• Some of the most used features…Frontend file upload

I guess the critical part simply forgotten to mention is this is only in the paid version.. Same goes for the misleading screenshots, all containing paid features. A big waste of time.

The pros of this plugin or shall I say “free version” is it does the job of being a decent front end file download manager, you would just need to either code the rest to suit your needs or find a plugin to work with this or buy the full version which is 99$ or pay a monthly subscription fee (which is way too much).

Thanks for your feedback. I have now removed that misleading “Some of the most used features” paragraph and sorted the screenshots so that the free features are first and the pro ones have the mention “Pro”.

Also, the free version now has the front-end uploader. It is true that the front-end uploader is constantly mentioned in the description starting from the plugin title, so it should be a feature of the free version.

Regarding the pricing: It is my full-time job to develop this plugin and therefore the pricing level must be what it is, for me to make a living. The price has been lower before and I have gradually raised it when new features have been published. It’s been a bit over 2 years now that I have worked on this and I think the price is pretty fair, considered how much time I have used to build it. But I do understand that it can be too much and you have the right to state so.

I was able to test out the upload feature without activating the pro trial version and I think it adds enough for any potential buyer to see what is on offer.

Yes, you can tell someone has put effort into it. I think you may scare away potential buyers with such high price ranges, but I assume you’re right. Unfortunately it’s not quite what I want, as I was looking for the front end uploader to create and attach to posts, add or select tags (search bar rather than tick boxes) and for such a price I’d want it done already.

Anyway, thanks for your response and actually tweaking things to do what it says. I’m not sure whether to remove my review or leave it.

Ok, well thanks anyway for your input, I believe the plugin is indeed better balanced now and of course it is not good for anyone to give a misleading impression of the features. I don’t know what to say about that review, I think it might be possible that the WP community has some kind of directions what a plugin author can say about that, so maybe better if I don’t say anything.

I’m sorry for that bad impression you had first and thanks again for the valuable feedback you provided, I believe there have been many others with same thoughts, but none of them had yet said anything! ??
