    Hello!

I have been using the CKeditor plugin alonside the plugi ‘photonic’.

I am using shortcodes generated by the photonic plugin, but whenever i move from HTML to visual editors, the shortcode changes to the following:

    < img alt=”gallery” class=”wpGallery” contenteditable=”false” data-gallery=”[gallery type='flickr' view='photos' photoset_id='72157653887351721' tag_mode='any' sort='date-posted-desc' ]” src=”https://yeboswaziland.com/wp-content/plugins/ckeditor-for-wordpress/plugins/wpgallery/images/spacer.gif?t=F7J8&#8243; title=”gallery type=’flickr’ view=’photos’ photoset_id=’72157653887351721′ tag_mode=’any’ sort=’date-posted-desc’ ” / >

    Please can you help?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Frenzal,

CKeditor plugin is currently unmaintained. We are thinking about adopting it (i.e. maintaining it) sometime in the future (we are the authors of a maintained FCKeditor plugin: FCKeditor is an earlier version of CKedit).

We had put our Foliopress WYSIWYG on end of life but have decided to continue to use it ourselves as we are too frustrated with how TinyMCE handles switching betweeen Visual and Text mode. TinyMCE often removes or adds line breaks and <p> syntax, within nested lists. We need those nested html lists for advanced documentation (many steps). You should be able to switch between WYSIWYG and HTML mode with no issues with our Foliopress WYSIWYG.

The major downside of FCKedit vs CKedit is weaker performance on mobiles (FCKedit was designed for desktop).

Let us know if Foliopress WYSIWYG works with your shortcodes.
