This is a place I volunteer for, and they had a really nice flash site before, but never could get it updated, because of the people who made it were always hard to reach, and took their time… So, i showed the boss guy over there, Todd, my blog, Thoughtbox, and how easy it was to update stuff, and he was hooked. So, a few long hours later, we have a website run with WordPress 1.5, using a theme, based on their old flash site. Hope you like, tell me any thing I could improve, remove, and make better… Critisism is the best

  • I like it, it’s nice. Maybe create a horizontal nav bar for it though to make navigating easier for people?

NPO’s and WordPress, a beautiful combination. The site is clean, well organized and full of information. Quite nice.

I agree with lawtai. Breaking the navigation into major sections allows people to scan the site and quickly see what it’s about (and where they want to go). Also, I think the programs should be under their own section rather than being lumped with ‘About City Kidz’. They’re the lifeblood of a service organization and need more prominence.

I wonder how well WP could manage as a volunteer database?
