  • Hi, sorry to hear that our latest update caused a critical error. Since the update has some major structural differences, a plugin/theme conflict might cause it.

If you could send the .php errors that caused the site to crash, that would help us analyze the cause.

    Hi.

I had my settings on Automatic update for Elementor. I had received a FATAL error which resulted in my site displaying a critical error message.

After some debugging, I found it was Elementor plugin. I reversed the version to Version 3.3.0 and now my site is back up.

So my question is. Is there a known issue with the 3.4.0?? If so, when will this be resolved?

    See error below:
    ————————–

[16-Aug-2021 15:01:50 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Access level to Elementor\LCB_Element_Section::get_html_tag() must be protected (as in class Elementor\Element_Section) or weaker in /home/XXXXXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/liquid-custom-builder/inc/elementor/section.php on line 419

    Thank you

Same here. It said the database was updating on the background, but the site returns a critical error as stated above.

    On PHP 7.4.
    Upgrading to 3.4.1
    Rolled back to 3.3.1

Rollback took care of it, but it looks like we need to wait for

    Yeah, same here. Critical error.

Unfortunately, it’s a mistake that we don’t know when it will be fixed!

    I am on PHP 7.4
I upgraded to the latest version of Elementor 3.4.2
Reverted to 3.3.1 because it was the only one that worked…`

Infelizmente é um erro que n?o sabemos quando vai ser solucionado!

    Estou no PHP 7.4
    Fiz a atualiza??o para a última vers?o do Elementor 3.4.2
Revertido para a 3.3.1 pois foi a unica que funcionou..

Hi. I have the same issue. Tried to upgrade to version 3.4.2. and it caused a fatal error. So I had to roll back to 3.3.1.
    Porto theme on PHP 8.0
Fatal error: Access level to Porto_Elementor_Section::get_html_tag() must be protected (as in class Elementor\Element_Section) or weaker in /homepages/38/dxxxxxxxxx/htdocs/clickandbuilds/xxxxxxxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/porto-functionality/elementor/elements/porto_section.php on line 468
Hope that the problem will be fixed soon.`

    Hi,

Same issue here, about 12 websites with Elementor/Porto combination.

    When will this be fixed?

Porto, just has released an update to make it compatible with Elemento 3.4.

I’ve updated it first and then Elementor and it works fine….

    Finally, it works.
Updated version Porto theme (6.1.7) is compatible with Elementor 3.4.
First, need to update the theme, then plugin Porto Functionality and only then Elementor.

    Hello everyone.

From where i can get elementor 3.3.1 Version?
    Please help.

    Thanks

    @exoticplantsouq

Our rollback feature allows you to install previous Elementor installations, simply follow the steps in this guide?.

    Hope it helps.
