• With Chrome, the WPA creates a real “installed” app on the mobile device. But Edge and Firefow only creates a “shortcut”, why? I want an installed app with all browsers.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us. Could you please provide the URL, along with screenshots, where you are seeing the “Install” and “Add shortcut” pop-ups on mobile? This will help us investigate the issue accordingly.

Here is the website where I installed your PWA plugin.

Here are the browsers where I managed to “install” the website as an application (not just a shortcut, but a real “install”) :

    • Google Chrome
    • Samsung Internet

All the other browsers simply add a “shortcut” (which is NOT what I expect for a PWA) :

    • Edge
    • Brave
    • Opera
    • Opera Mini
    • Firefox
    • Firefox Focus
    • DuckDuckGo

Hi, we need to check on it, can you please share any reference screenshot pointing to the shortcut issue? How it is showing after installing on your end ? We have confirmed on our end that we are seeing the ‘Install’ option on the Edge browser.
