    Hi there,

We’re having an issue using Easy Digital Downloads to generate a download link for a file hosted on Amazon S3. This started to happen only since one week. Everything was working fine before that. We have tried to upload an empty .zip folder and we got the same error, so it seems the issue in the function generating the download URL.

Please note that this only happens on Chrome. Everything works fine on Firefox.

Do you have any idea what can cause such thing?

    Regards

@b2olakeh55 are you using our Amazon S3 extension ? If so enable Beta releases from the Downloads > Tools > Beta Versions for Amazon S3 and then you should receive an update notification for a new Beta release for the extension.
Once you install that beta update give it a try again to see if the issue is resolved.

    Hi @misulicus

Yes, we’re using Easy Digital Downloads – Amazon S3 extension Version 2.3.9. I’ve enabled “Get updates for pre-release versions of Amazon S3”, Does it take much until I receive the update message?

@b2olakeh55 you should be able to force the update check by going to the Dashboard > Updates page and click on the Check Again button. Make sure you have the license key activated and in good standing.

    Hi @misulicus

    Sorry for the delayed response.

Unfortunately, we still have the issue on our end ??

Here’s a screenshot from our end so you can check.

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys can help us resolving this as soon as possible.

@b2olakeh55 Do you have your license for the extension activated on the site under Downloads > Settings > Extensions ?
You can always try and do a manual update. Download the latest version from your account area on our website, remove the plugin you have now and upload and activate the latest one you just downloaded.

    Hi @misulicus

It seems the issue is coming from the file URL generated when the file is hosted on Amazon S3 as I got everything to work fine when I uploaded the file in WP Media. So, do you guys have a direct solution for this? It seems updating the plugin to v2.3.10 didn’t make the trick.

    @misulicus

Why we’re not getting replies for that? This issue is really giving us a hard time.

@leap13 @b2olakeh55 the latest version 2.3.11 of Amazon S3 should resolve that issue. Make sure you have the license activated and do an update check in the main Dashboard > Updates page.
If you still don’t see the update you can login into your account on our website and download it from there then replace the one on your website with the one you downloaded.

If you still have issues with this please send us an email via the Support menu on our website.

    Regards

I’ve had same issue, and I can confirm that Amazon S3 version 2.3.11 solved it.

One thing worth mention is pay attention to the Amazon S3 Host settings, in my case I had to change that part in the extension settings from us-east-2 to us-east-1, and that did the trick.

    I hope this helps someone.
