Chosen does not work with LearnPress

  • Hello,

    I‘d like to use the LearnPress Plugin with my WP site using the Chosen Theme. My page is not able to show any of the sites like course or lecture etc. When I change in Troubleshooting mode the theme to e.g. 2020. sometimes a get error message in functions.php line 737. but even turning off the feature to show top post broader, the system does not show any of the mentioned pages. Any help?

    Thanks for using Chosen.

    It looks like the LearnPress plugin isn’t sticking to some WordPress best practices which is why Chosen isn’t working with it. I can work on a fix in the next update, but I’m afraid there’s not a quick solution I can offer right now.

    I spent quite a bit of time researching this plugin and looking through its code, and unfortunately, some of the choices they’ve made are making it too difficult to integrate with Chosen, so we have to forego the integration.

    That said, I put together a simple “child theme” that will give your site basic support for LearnPress. With this child theme installed, you will be able to view the course page rather than seeing a white screen: download the child theme

    The child theme can be uploaded through the Appearance menu like a regular theme.
