Choosing a Parent category should automatically check children

    Hello, I am using checkboxes with hierarchy for my product filtering. An example of my hierarchy is Sofas-> Corner Sofas, Bed Sofas, Sofas Set. the children of ‘Sofas’ are populated with items the category ‘Sofas’ itself doesn’t have products assigned to it but is correctly assigned as the parent category. Whenever I select ‘Sofas’ its children should be automatically selected, so the products will be shown. By the nature of my site, I can’t assign the products directly to ‘Sofas’. Any help would be appreciated

    Hi @euko4

    So, you have a parent category that is not assigned to any of the posts on your page, but you want all the posts from its subcategories to be displayed when you select it?

    You can exclude this parent category and display all of the subcategories instead. From the more options you can use include/exclude. If there’s nothing applied to a certain category it won’t display anything.
