    Hi,

Thank you for your plugin. I do want to ask you a question. Is it possible to choose a categorie before uploading the images?

I for example want to upload 100 images in bulk. Before I want to upload them, I first want to assign them to a category. After that, I want to upload the images to that category. And not select all the images afterwards to assign them to a category.

As I see this plugin now, I first need to upload the images and then assign them to a category.

    Is this also possible?

    Kind regards,
    flint

    Hello guys,

Sorry for so long delay with the response!

Thank you both for the question. Right now it’s not working the way you described, but we are going to make it work exactly that way soon.

    Best,
    -Nadia

That’s great news, @nadia. That functionality is actually the reason I need EML (Pro). Once you implement that, I can’t imagine many other media-related plugins coming close to EML.

Not to be pushy, but when you say “soon”, are you thinking days, weeks, or months? (I have several thousand images to upload for a client.)

    Hi Jeff,

    About a month.

Will it be available in the free version or it will require PRO?

    Hello Cezariusz,

Bulk upload to a pre-selected category will work for both free and pro. Bulk (re)assign (for already uploaded media items) will work for the pro only.

Great news.. The Pro is worth its money though – help supporting the continued development of Enhanced Media Library ??

    Hi, Nadia!

Please answer – what does it mean in plugin Description:

“For both new and existing media items. … You can assign a category to a media item during the upload process

    How can I do this?

    Hi Alex,

    Sorry for the late response!

It means that after plugin activation you can assign to media categories those media items you have already had in your media library as well as those images you upload after plugin activation. To assign existing images you have to open media library, click on a media item and set category checkbox in the popup. Same thing you can do with just uploaded images. Please let me know if you need further help with it.

    Best,
    -Nadia
