I’m trying to decide to choose between Popup Maker or a 3rd party popup widget SaaS such as Cuedd.

I meant, essentially, they are just widgets, arent’ they? I can list a few alternatives (shown below). They all can be embedded into any websites using a small javascript, and they are not limited to just WordPress.

A few I tried so far:

I understand having a plugin for WordPress can offer a better user experience. But I wonder how necessary to have a WordPress plugin *specifically* just for popups since I also have a Shopify store unless Popup Maker can provide more compelling reason over other “popup” widget service.

@dark9cat – So this would be my primary recommendation, if you need a simple solution that works everywhere, go with a saas solution, assuming it meets all of your needs.

If you need something on your WordPress site that is more tightly integrated with the other plugins you use and WP core itself, go for a plugin.

Our plugin won’t work on Shopify at this time, but if you wanted to insert a Ninja Form, custom page builder layout or something similar into a popup, the others would be just about useless.

Ours can be customized well beyond the bounds of the box we provide. That is if you have an out of the box concept, ours can probably achieve it with some custom code and built in features.

We tightly integrate directly with multiple popular form plugins, WooCommerce, WP Fusion (CRM syncing), WP core, many page builders, and have an extensive and open API to customize anything.

We are not the right solution every time, but for a WP site, we are the right solution 99.9% of the time.

Thank you. I have been playing with your free version. I really like it how flexible it is to customize the pops. Do you happen to have any plans to venture into Shopify in the near future?

Hello @dark9cat, ?we did recently decide that we are gonna add more integrations to our Popup Maker plugin but it is a little way off.
    ?
In the meantime, I would suggest you can try to integrate with 5 major form plugins from this documentation about?Which Email or Contact Forms Plugins Work with Popup Maker?
    ?
?Alternatively, you can also likely include?Shopify’s own form embed code?in our popups using the text tab of the popup editor.
    ?
    I hope that helps.
