Choices for “Archives”
-
I’ve tried the two existing (that I am aware of) variants for more organized archiving in WordPress to no avail. I’ve included the links to the two threads that I started and as you can see by the response to the first one I am not the only one interested in an “archive by category” solution that produces;
1. Main Archive page returns a list of links: orderby category, orderby (A-Z), (article count)
2. Subsequently, each Category Archive page returns a list of links: (date*optional), orderby (A-Z), (comments count*optional)
3. Finally, selected article is displayed in index.php

So, if you are ever so inclined and/or can find the time to explore either creating a built-in user-choice for archiving either by date or by category from the admin interface, or adapting either of these solutions to “Archiving by category, orderby (A-Z)” it would be a blessing to more than myself I am sure. Have a great day and thanks for your time. And thanks most of all for your terrific, easy-to-use, easy-to-modify “blogging/CMS” solution.
