Choice of articles for slider

Hi @emitalka, yes you can control the posts in the slider using the native sticky posts feature. Just mark those posts you want to appear in the slider as sticky and only those posts will appear.

Toni, if you are editing a post, look on the right hand side, in the Publish box, click edit next to visibility and tick to make it sticky.

But would you happen to know why my slider is displaying funny? Here’s a link: girlsdrivefasttoo.co (it’s under construction right now) The slider is showing an image from one article but two descriptions overlapping. Is there a way to fix that?

I played around with the slider and wanted to see what would happen if I only chose one article as “sticky”….now it looks normal but I should be able to have more than just one article on the slider correct? What is the issue? Please advise as I need to have the site done by tomorrow (girlsdrivefasttoo.co —still under construction)

Toni, if you want more than one image/post on the slider, you need to create each one as a separate post. So… if you want 3 images on the slider, then you need to create 3 sticky posts.

It makes sense but I think I did that already, unless I’m missing something. I went into 3 separate posts I wanted on the slider and selected the “sticky” button. But when I do that, only one image shows (from 1 of the chosen posts) and 2-3 descriptions (from each of the other posts) overlap each other.

Is there something else I’m missing?

@toniavery have you set a featured image for each post you want in the slider? Each featured image should be cropped to 1200×500 for the best results.

Yes I do have a featured image for each of the posts that I make sticky. See my other reply for the answers to your other questions
