    Choice + Ad Inserter Plugin

Blocking ads until consent a user has given consent. See the “How to show ads based on visitors’ consent?” section in their help documentation here. Showing you how to whitelist consent cookies such as the Google Advertising Products Cookie (euconsent-v2[vendor][consents][755]=1) and you also have to Make sure you have Dynamic blocks set to client-side insert – TCF v2.0 based cookie needs to be checked client-side (in the browser).

    * If you are still seeing 1.1 errors, you may also need to whitelist euconsent-v2[purpose][consents][1]=1 to check for Purpose one consent as well.

Note: Ad Inserter has added some specific guidance related to Quantcast Choice on their help page, but any instructions pertaining to TCF v2.0 on should also be relevant for Quantcast Choice as we are a TCF v2.0 compliant CMP.

Please make sure you have attempted to follow the blocking instructions provided by Ad Inserter (see above) before reporting Google 2.1a and 1.1 errors here.

@spacetime After latest plugin update (Choice), ads aren’t loading immediately after accepting Choice.

    EDIT: nvm this, I haven’t deleted cookies…

EDIT 2: which is weird, because I use Chrome Incognito, and cookies from previous visit were there…Chrome didn’t delete those cookies in incognito mode, after I’ve closed the incognito part of the browser.

@spacetime, I’m getting back 1.1 errors at Adsense, after installing latest Ad Inserter Pro update.

In my case its more than weird, as we have 6 sites (all equal meaning with this, same exact plugins, design, etc.. 100%), but we only get errors from 1 site, we reviewed all our sites and all have the same config, we inclusive deleted the Ad Inserter Plugin and reinstalled it, plus included again the @rbaronqc Quantcast Tag and Code (header and footer code), but errors remain there. We checked the cookies (and load well, no cookies before consent), either no ads shown before consent.

We tryed to talk to Google support at Adsense and they answered us, not reading our question, just copy/pasting that we have to solve those 1.1 errors asap, we wrote back asking them to please answer our question, but didn’t answer, more than a week ago…

Is there any possible solution after this? The only thing we changed was the Ad Inserter Pro plugin last update.

Hopefully someone can give some light on this… ?? We just don’t know what else to do.

    Hi @laurentz12!

What I did was change the consent of TheMoneytizer to the Quantcast directly, and everything seems to work but very slowly.
Ibiza69 also previously commented that they were in this situation and that TheMoneytizer indicates that this method is correct for them too.

I configured my sites following the instructions provided in this forum and for the moment the errors are disappearing little by little.

I hope you can solve them too!

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

If I check those 1.1 errors say:

1.1 Google, as a vendor, is not allowed under consent or legitimate interest. Confirm whether the user intentionally rejected Google as a vendor, CMP implementation errors have occurred, or there are publisher restrictions.

But, that it’s from Quantcast, but why then all our sites use the same Quantcast code don’t get any errors only at one website? I’m so confussed :S

@laurentz12, THANKS, we have Moneytizer thru Quantcast directly too, and our errors dissapeared a month ago, all of them, but now returned back… but as I say, only at one website, none of our other 5 websites.

If anyone has ideas, please share with me.

    Hi @@ibiza69,

Do not worry so much about this! The error count will gradually diminish if the Ad Inserter is correctly configured. Usually, after an upgrade, nothing changes and you should not get an error.

    – I have updated like twice and also performed an update and everything works.

I would recommend, reach out to the plugin author for suggestions. They can easily detect and let you know what the issue is.

Note: If you notice a reduction in the error count, then you don’t have so much issue except it is the other way around ?? Observe this.

AFAIK, you only need the Quantum Choice pasted in the header of your site.

    Cheers and good luck.

    Hello,

I got a message on my dashboard today from Adsense. Here is the message below

    ——————
Set up a CCPA privacy message for your site
To help you comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we’ve integrated a CCPA privacy messaging tool into AdSense. You can use this messaging tool to display a CCPA privacy message on your site that gives users the right to opt-out of the sale of their personal information. The messaging tool uses Google’s Funding Choices

    How it works
The first time that you turn on the CCPA privacy message in AdSense, we’ll automatically create a Funding Choices account for you. This lets you use the AdSense code that’s already on your site to show your message. You don’t need to add any extra code.

The privacy message that you create in AdSense gives users the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information by showing them a ‘Do Not Sell My Personal Information’ link. After the user makes their choice, the privacy message automatically communicates their opt-out status to Google ad tags using the IAB CCPA framework. Learn more about how California opt-out messages work in Funding Choices.

    Note:
Your privacy message will override the global CCPA setting on your California Consumer Privacy Act page. For example, if you’ve already selected the ‘Restrict data processing’ setting, then your site will show personalised ads if the user agrees to the sale of their personal information.
If you choose to turn on the privacy message and override your ‘Restrict data processing’ setting, then you won’t be able to customise the list of advertising partners. The sites for which you’ve set up the override will always use the default list of advertising partners.
    ——————

Did anyone also get this message?

I currently use Quantcast Choice to manage CCPA. Why do I have to set this in Adsense?

    Many thanks in advance

@xtnsele, check at Quantcast, as if you have to comply with european RGPD you should change this at Quantcast. If you are from USA, then can’t help, sorry ????

@xtnsele thanks, yes we had all errors cleared since a month ago, …and retuned back. We are checking to see if numbers decrease. Thanks for your words.

Ad Inserter, plus updated ‘cookies’ at pluging, please check all of you that use it.

    xtnsele

    (@xtnsele)

    Hi @ibiza69 ,

Thank you! I do not from USA, I am based in Europe so this is pretty fine.

I have the regulations “GDPR” and “CCPA” checked (enabled).

    – But under CCPA (Do i have to select Target entire US?”

Under the consent scope, i selected only users in the EEEA or UK. Do I have to fix anything here?

    Many thanks!

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

@xtnsele I would uncheck CCPA in your case.

    xtnsele

    (@xtnsele)

@ibiza69, This might not be possible because ***Moneytizer uses these settings as well. Since I have these (CCPA) setting already enabled via Quantcast Choice, Do I really need to worry about the message from Adsense?

It is a little bit confusing to say the least!

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

@xtnsele, we use too Moneytizer and we don’t use CCPA, if you are europe based, you could turn it off. And about Adsense, as we are facing too problems back, couldn′t say as I think its not stable at all.

    Is anyone receiving errors back?

Today we got “more” returned errors for other of our sites, not the one I was talking about this past days. We got more errors among other of our websites.

Same error 1.1 (Google, as a vendor, is not allowed under consent or legitimate interest. Confirm whether the user intentionally rejected Google as a vendor, CMP implementation errors have occurred, or there are publisher restrictions.)

Please, does anyone face back this type of error, it was a month without any and now they are returning back, but they are not from a bad config like 2.1a errors, it says “Google, as a vendor, is not allowed under consent or legitimate interest”.

@rbaronqc any idea why Google returned back errors with this 1.1 information as seems to depend on Quantcast? Thank you.

    Thanks in advance.

    xtnsele

    (@xtnsele)

@ibiza69, Thank you for your response! I will get back to Moneytizer and then have that unchecked.

I updated Ad Inserter to Version 2.6.17 yesterday again and I haven’t gotten any errors.
    – If your account is added to Quantcast Choice correctly, you should not be having this issue. You can also send a quick email to Quantcast Choice to see if they can help. They usually respond after 2-3 days.
    – Ensure your URL parameter is correct, copy and paste this again from a site that is working correctly and watch this decrease.

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

Thanks a lot for your time dedicated @xtnsele!

The point it’s that we had no errors for a month, we had them before and decreased until the error message dissapeared at adsense. After a month, messsage came back. So we rechecked Quantcast, copy/pasted again their TAGs (both: Header and Footer Tag). Recreated at adsense the ads that where giving errors and see what happened. No luck, new ads placed showe new errors ?? I’ve invoqued a few times @rbaronqc from Quantcast, the person that opened this post, with no luck at all. I wrote before a few times to Quantcast, but they answered me like a week abnd a half after with no sense in their answer and this happened a pair or three times, so we didn’t write back anymore directly to them and this is why we invoque here @rbaronqc, with no luck either.

The great thing its that we have 6 sites and only happens in one, then two weeks after another one and three weeks after a another, so from the 6 sites, only 3 give error code 1.1, but not all the ads, only 1-2 from each site. So its so crazy, that we don’t know where to go or what to do. We even uninstalled the Ad Inserter Pro plugin, and reinstalled it and started from scratch, but same errors appeared again next day and following days ??

So we are just blocked, with no idea on what else we could do as it not a adsense errors placing codes at our sites, either cookies (we see no cookies, either ads, before accepting Quantcast choice. And the error given its 1.1 that it’s about the adsense consent, included at Quantcast, so we can’t do much there.

Thanks a lot for your nice help, but we are stuck here…

    Have a nice time!

    xtnsele

    (@xtnsele)

    Hi @ibiza69

    euconsent-v2[vendor][consents][755]=true && euconsent-v2[purpose][consents][1]=true, euconsent-v2[gdprApplies]=false

Ensure your URL parameter is the same as shown above and you have the site added to your Quantcast choice. Wish I can help further.

    ibiza69

    (@ibiza69)

Good morning @xtnsele and thanks for the nice help ??

I’m placing my Quantcast config, of for ex one of our sites there, as we have 6 websites added, but all with same Quantcast confif. I know it’s a lot for information for dedicating your time, but if you can’t, I for sure understand ??

    AD INSERTER

Ad Inserter in the last update, if you check what things he changed, one of them was the “cookie” and the new one is this and is the one we have since last update, but errors came before the update and keept after update (https://adinserter.pro/faq/gdpr-compliance-cookies-consent):

    tcf-v2[vendor][consents][755]=true && tcf-v2[purpose][consents][1]=true, tcf-v2[gdprApplies]=false

    QUANTCAST

And, at Quantcast, I have this config:

    At “SITES” section:

    A. General settings: https://prnt.sc/vehnty

    – I think its correct ??

    B. Your consent configuration: https://prntscr.com/veh01p

    1. Do I have to change anything, you think?:

    – I have: “I don’t declare a legal basis for my property”

    2. And at Google Vendors, I only have “turned on

    Then at THEMES:

    A. I have only activated GPRD (not CCPA, as we don’t work with California or the USA)

    B. Customize Purpose Screen: https://prntscr.com/vehqd5 (only activated: “Use Stacks”)

For finishing, at “VENDORS” section, I have at “Non-IAB Vendors“, what Quantcast said we had to place here:

(MAYBE THE PROBLEM IS HERE FOR ADDING “GOOGLE?” THERE)

Ad “Google” as vendor name, EX: https://prntscr.com/vehsfk

    At its “Purposes“:

    1. Store and/or access information on a device: “Consent
    2. Select basic ads: “Legitimate Interest
    3. Create a personalised ads profile: “Consent
    4. Select personalised ads: “Consent
    5. Create a personalised content profile: EMPTY
    6. Select personalised content: EMPTY
    7. Measure ad performance: “Consent
    8. Measure content performance: EMPTY
    9. Apply market research to generate audience insights: “Legitimate Interest
    10. Develop and improve products: “Legitimate Interest

Thnaks in advance for time dedicated and any feedback!!
