Chinese Characters / unicode issues

  • Hi,
    we’ve been using your plugin for a few years now (and also purchased the pro version).
    Since the beginning however unicode characters are not displayed in the invoice pdf. For example we now have an order from China, wordpress displays the characters correctly, in the pdf only rectangles are shown.

    Could this be a problem with our template? or is there some setting for this?

    Just checked: Our template only runs in legacy mode.

    Hello Tubbutec, are you still experiencing the issue?

    If so, could you enable debug logging by installing Debug plugin. Next up select below options and the system will create a debug.log file. You can try it again. The system will log any errors and it will give us the ability to resolve the problem.

    – Enable error Reporting
    – Create Error Log in File /wp-content/debug.log {define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’,true);}

    We’ll try to solve your issue from the errors we’ve received.
