    Greetings, people of the internet,

I really like this plugin and features. I intend to buy the pro version however because I operate a company in Taiwan, R.O.C., I need to have Chinese (traditional) characters printed on the PDF. They do show up on the HTML version of the invoice however.

On the PDF, each Chinese character is shown as a square.

    Do you have any tips?

    Thanks for reading,
    Benoit

    Hello Benoit,
There’s a guide in the documentation on how to do this: Using custom fonts (it is not for beginners, unfortunately…). If you own a premium templates or pro license, send me an email at [email protected] and I can send you a chinese language pack that will install a chinese font automatically.

    Ewout,

Thanks for the very useful information!

I got the Chinese characters to show, however now in the last table, “Subtotal” “Discount” “Shipping” are now shown as squares. I tried removing the formating in the CSS of the last table or changing it to the same as in the begining of the file with no success… Any idea?

    Hello Benoit,
It sounds like you have possibly only added the font to the ‘regular’ font-style, and not bold. Is that possible?

    Hello Edwout,

    Thanks for your active support!

Indeed, I wrote some very ugly things in my code, which is fine now.

The only trouble left that I have is with the Currency, which I see desplayed as □□$, but it should be NT$… Any thoughts on this issue?

    Thanks very much,
    Benoit

Yes, regular characters are not part of the extended currency font, you probably have enabled that setting. Unless you need exotic currencie symbols, you should leave that option disabled “Extended currency symbol support”.

    Hello,

Thanks, it did solve the issue.

    Cheers,
    Ben
