Chinese Characters in CATEGORIES

  • I am using English wordpress and have made numerous mysql tweaks to get chinese characters throughout my website. I’ve changed everything possible to utf8_unicode_ci, and now I have Chinese characters in my posts, titles, tags, and comments.

    BUT for some reason, it won’t let me title categories with Chinese characters. Obviously the URL won’t be chinese characters, but I need the category title to be in Chinese characters.

    Despite all the changes, categories are still displaying in question marks, and the rest of the site i showing chinese characters perfectly.

    What do I need to change?
