• I just changed the hosting provider where under my domain i have a chinese website.

I have exported the sql database before changing the server provider, the default charset of the database is utc-8 and the COLLATE=utf8_unicode_ci

Now i dumb the whole database to the new hosting provider, the database was successfully created and blog in running, but all the chinese character cannot shown properly. The collation of the database is still set to utf-8 unicode ci, but the chinese character can’t shown a right word.

How do i get back all my previous post that is in chinese character??

    Please help

    Thanks & Regards

  • You might want to check that exported the data in the right encoding.
Try opening the dump file on a text editor and see if it’s UTF-8.

When you create a new post in Chinese, does it show up correctly?
