Hello. I have put Gtranslate on my UK webiste (the free version which is excellent and translates the whole website). Will Chinese people be able to view this on their desktops and mobiles in mainland China? Is there an API block somewhere along the line. Sorry but I am not technically gifted. Answers would be welcome!

    Hi,

Google services are blocked in China, so free version will not translate when accessing the website from China without a VPN.

You can use our paid version and it will be fine: https://gtranslate.io/#pricing

    Thanks! ??

Hello. Thanks for your reply. Would you be able to tell my why the free version would be blocked in China but the paid ones won’t? Is something different logistically? Are the servers different?

    thanks, Victor

Yes, logistics is different. In free version visitor connects to Google servers directly, while in the paid version it goes through us.

    Thanks! ??

Hello. Thank you for the explanations about the different plans. Just another thing, please. I have been speaking to the GTranslate team all day about the translation features of PDFs. (I am translating from English to Chinese). The more I speak, the less I understand. I understand that you do not translate PDFs. I am using the ‘Find and Replace’. I think that this feature puts the English text inside the website in a format that can be translated? It does this using an already translated version. Is there a video or step by step process to see what is happening and why? I must be lacking in brains because I simply don’t understand what is being explained.
