I’ve had my blog since Sept 2014 and using the Sugar and Spice theme. I only recently learn about childs theme. Is it too late to use a childs theme for sugar and spice? Will I lose all my posts and everything I’ve done on my blog to date?
Please help! Thank you for your time.

I had a site for 5 years and just did a child theme today.

I not have a issue at all.

I did edit the footer.php file so had to copy that to the new theme folder so I not lose that edit during an update.

You will not lose your posts & pages. The only thing you want to consider are any theme files which you might have modified by using the editor (Appearance → Editor). You will want to copy over any files which you’ve might have changed from the parent theme folder over to your child theme folder. If you made a change to the style.css file, then you just want to copy over any changes that you’ve made into the child theme’s style.css file and not copy over the entire file.
